About Carolina Dorell & Soma Experience
Soma Experience offers a journey of transformation — whether through a single session or a longer program. It’s not a straight path, but one where we peel back layers at our own pace, guided by self-awareness, practice, and compassion.
Soma is a space to return — to self, to simplicity, to balance.
This work was born from my own life path. Over the years, I’ve learned that there is no one way. Each chapter of life has called for a different practice, ritual, or ceremony. My passion for life and truth has taken me deep into many traditions, and through integrity and humility, I’ve had the privilege to study with incredible mentors across the globe. It is now my path — and my honor — to serve and offer what I’ve received.
From a very young age, I felt that my mission was to share moments of being — spaces of connection and presence. It began with dance, and has since evolved into a blend of sound, movement, and sacred ceremony that helps others reconnect with the wisdom within.
At the heart of Soma Experience is this truth:
We heal when we feel safe, when we come home to our bodies, and when we realign with the natural world.
I offer this work from love, joy, and deep reverence — to support your journey back to yourself.
My Journey
I’m Carolina Dorell, born in Argentina and based in Amsterdam since 2015. I’ve been teaching movement for over 20 years. My path began with contemporary dance and soon expanded into yoga, somatic practices, and sacred traditions. Yin yoga became a gateway to stillness and inner listening. Sound — especially Tibetan sound healing — opened the door to deep transformation.
In 2019, I experienced a sound bath that shifted everything. The resonance of those vibrations showed me how sound can quiet the mind, release stored tension, and guide us home to presence. That experience led me to study and integrate Tibetan bowls, handpan, and other ancient instruments into my work — always guided by breath and the wisdom of the chakras.
My work is grounded in the oldest technologies we have — breath, nature, and the elements. I honor the wisdom of Earth, Water, Fire, and Air in every offering, trusting their capacity to support balance and renewal.
I return regularly to Central America to deepen my learning in indigenous practices and the Mayan cosmovision, which sees all life as deeply interconnected — every movement, every ritual, every breath part of a greater rhythm.
